#6 00:06 Lazareth LM 847 Maserati Engine-Powered Motorcycle
Ludovic Lazareth assembles this carbon fiber LM-847 motorcycle around a Maserati V8 engine. The chassis is made from polyester and carbon fiber. His method of creating combined both art and craftsmanship with two sets of two Michelin tires to successfully tame all 470 hp of the ‘LM-847’.
The rider sits behind the engine to avoid sitting on the engine. LED headlamps hover over the front wheels, and the twig-like handlebar seems almost inadequate for this beast.
#5 01:09 C-1 | Lit Motors Self-balancing electric motorcycle
It’s a proposed fully-enclosed two-passenger electric motorbike that uses an electronically-controlled gyroscopic stabilizing system to stay upright when stopped, or even when struck from the side in an accident.
The core technology behind the auto-balancing electric vehicle consists of two control momentum gyroscopes, which use gyroscopic torque to keep the two-wheeled vehicle in an upright position at a complete stop, automatically lean into turns and even counterweight in the instance of a collision.
#4 03:13 Timbersled snow enduro bike
It’s a conversion kit that allows you to ride your dirt bike year round. Snow biking combines the speed and agility of a dirt bike with the terrain capabilities of a snowmobile. Popularity for the sport is growing every year. The 2010 introduction of the Timbersled bike conversion kit has revolutionized the snow bike industry.
It’s nothing like riding a snowmobile because there’s less overall weight. And it’s nothing like riding a dirt bike; since the track and ski completely change the bike’s handling mannerisms. And it’s nothing like riding a bus.
Timbersleds fit a wide range of modern motocross and off-road dirt bikes from the early 90’s to today.
#3 04:24 EV-X7 Magnetic hybrid motorbike
A Japanese vehicle manufacturer unveiled the prototype of a new electric motorbike carrying a hybrid magnetic motor, which can run almost noiselessly up to 112 miles on one charge.
Tokyo-based Axle Corporation says that the battery of the next-generation electric vehicle motorbike can be charged at home, in the same way as a cellular phone. It takes a little over 6 hours to fully charge the battery, and the vehicle’s maximum speed is capable of reaching 93 miles per hour.
#2 05:33 SilentHawk Hybrid-Electric Military Motorcycle
SilentHawk Hybrid-Electric Military Motorcycle
DARPA, the Pentagon’s future projects wing, is funding the development of a versatile electric dirt bike, so that special forces can have as silent a ride as possible on two powered wheels. The bike is called “SilentHawk,” and after receiving the first prototype, DARPA liked to so much they asked for two more.
As designed, one modification of the SilentHawk uses a hybrid engine, so it can run on gas most of the time, and on electricity when it needs to be quiet.
The SilentHawk motorcycle has an expected top speed of 80 mph.
#1 06:23 Furion, hybrid bike with wankel engine
The hybrid concept combines a rotary engine and an electric motor, with both motors housed in a steel trellis frame. The Furion M1’s power plant is a 654cc Wankel rotor engine. When combined with an electric motor fed by lithium-sulphur batteries, this gives a lot of neck-snapping torque.
